5 Top Books I Want to Read

I rarely have a new book picked out by the time I finish reading something,

and that’s usually because of this weird problem I have where I keep adding books to my TBR list at the speed of light, start dying to read so many of them at the same time and then… CAN’T. CHOOSE. (Do you have this problem too? Β Am I normal?? Is any of us normal???)

Yep, choosing, is a real challenge. It most often takes a lot of desperate scrolling through pretty goodreads cover pictures, stuffing your face with chocolate (okay, I always skip this step, but it could be fun) and wondering why speed-of-light-growing lists can’t be cooperative for once.

And of course, this makes it preeeetty hard to ever know what I’m gonna read next in advance. Do I know what I want to read next? I don’t know what I want to read next.

HOWEVER – there are a few books that make it to the top of my I WANNA READ THAT priorities, and there’s a big chance one of them will be the one (don’t ask me exactly how big the chance is, I’m done with math for the day).

Right now, these are the top 5 books I want to read – and honestly, they could change aaaany moment.

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

Monsters and villains and a creepy city, mwahahahaha. I’ve been wanting to read a book by Victoria Schwab, and this one seems like a good place to start. So I’ll be reading it soon. Probably. Maybe. Perhaps.

Also, the sequel just came out, so that provides some extra teasing. And the soul stealing music doesn’t work outside the pages. I think? Yeah that sounds about right.

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

First off… This series is awesome. Second, I love absolutely every book of it I’ve read so far. Third, it took me 4 months to read through the fourth one because of college, but that’s irrelevant. What does matter is… I REALLY REALLY WANT TO READ THIS.

Can’t be a bookstormer and not read Empire of Storms. That’s… not a real word??

King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard

I haven’t really finished Glass Sword yet, but I promise I’m working on it! So King’s Cage will come sometime after I do that, and I’m expecting to love it. Even if I think that cover isn’t half as pretty as the others in the series. It’s still a cool one, though.

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

Get the book

I’ve read an excerpt of this one, and it looks exciting! Having to fight to death your sisters that you’ve never met sounds like a tough life. Poisoning yourself for years and hiding any signs of it does too. And I’d never want a pet snake, but having a cougar is sorta cool. Am I making sense right now?

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

I wasn’t sure whether I really wanted to read this one or not, but after watching the movie, I do! It’s just such a sad thing that I know how it ends :Β΄(

Can’t say I read many contemporary books, but they’re nice once in a while, and since I did like the story… Why not. Also, it will probably be better than the movie was, as books usually are.

And that’s it! My top 5 TBR books. They look great, don’t they.

I’ve actually been thinking, why on earth would anyone want to read about what I want to read? But since you’re here (unless you’re not, in which case you can read minds and please tell me how to do it), what do you do when you can’t choose what to read next? Or we can talk about chocolate. Chocolate’s good.

      1. Oh I hope it doesn’t disappoint! I actually feel like trying Red Queen myself? I didn’t feel like it at first but some new developments have made me really intrigued, especially when it comes to the main character Mare.
I have yet to read My Savage Song but I have the duology sitting on my shelf just waiting to be opened!
